On the 19th August 1984 Vickers Varsity WJ897, a former RAF training aircraft maintained and flown by a group of enthusiasts known as the Leicester Aircraft Preservation Group (LAPG), made its last flight.
The aim of this website is to tell the story of the aircraft and the accident which befell it, and to provide a memorial for the aviation enthusiasts who died that day in 1984.

Our alternative site for tablet computers is also available.
It is intended to mirror this site but does contain some different material.
It has been built with tablet computers - like ipads - in mind and can be found here.
